Turkey Day eight

After seeing the Cappadocia landscape as we drove to the city it was cool to see the city up close, and to visit the underground houses they use to live in and still live in. The first was an underground city which was home to early Christians who hid underground from Roman persecution.

Ash inside the underground city

Winery inside the underground city
Fairy chimneys - we climbed up inside it was very scarey as there wasnt a lot to hold on to!
More fairy chimneys

Pottery shop - we received a demonstration on how they were made. One of the guys on the tour had a go at it, not as easy as it looks!

Some of the nice pottery that was made at the shop
