Paul's birthday trip

I had booked a hotel for Paul's birthday but unfortunately the closest date I managed to get was in November! The hotel was in Reading so we stopped off along the way to visit Windsor as we had not really had a chance to look at the town itself when we last went. After having a nosey around we made our way to the hotel where we spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing.

On the Sunday while travelling back to London we stopped in at Basildon Park which is home to an 18th Century mansion surrounded by 400 acres of historic parkland. At the park they had recreated a 1950's kitchen and we had to have the traditional cream tea before we left!

Cambridge

Today we made our way to Cambridge as we hadn't been before and we wanted to test out our new camera. We basically just spent our time wandering around the city and taking snaps of the architecture. Here are a few snaps that we took :)

Bristol round two

Emma and Woodsy were heading to Bristol on the train, so we thought we would head back up there in the van and spend the weekend there. We headed out to the city and searched for the banksy graffiti we missed out on last time and had a general nosey around.

At night we wandered around where the pubs and clubs were, as it was pretty happening! We saw a couple getting jiggy with it in a telephone box which was very gross! And that was when we decided to call it a night.

Harry Potter Studio Tour

We booked to go on the Harry Potter tour quite far in advance and our tour wasn't until later in the day. So we decided to go on a tiki tour before we headed out to the venue. We came across Alexandra Palace that is located on a hill and provides fantastic views of London.

After having a nosey around the palace, we headed out to see the Harry Potter studios. I must admit I was pretty excited to see the sets and props as the films are so detailed and wanted to see how everything was put together. And I have to say I wasn't let down. The amount of detail, time and money that went into the Harry Potter films is incredible! We saw a number of sets from Harry's home, Dumbledore's office, the Great Hall and many more. We saw all the wands that the made, the clothes that were worn by the characters, the broomsticks everything, it was just awesome.

San Sebastian

We decided to plan a long weekend to San Sebastian as we had heard it was a nice little town and two of our friends were going to be there so we thought we would meet up with them. We spent most of our time wandering the streets looking at the quaint shops, eating the delicious food, drinking and clubbing and spending a bit of time at the beach.

We had an awesome time in San Sebastian with great food, great weather and great company.
